on July 17th, 2008 at 3:50 pmChina’s mills plan to raise prices of 400-series stainless
China’s Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. (Tisco) and Baosteel are mulling an increase of RMB300~500/ton on 400 series spot prices.
The move will cause the current 400 series prices to soar, if both companies gain approval.
Continued rising input costs are being reflected by price rises, as mills are suffering from the rising costs as well. Agents have also complained about being under pressure from slowing demand.
