America’s scrap export price to China settles at $220/ton – It is reported that Portland-based Schnitzer Steel has exported two containers of H1 scrap, from Portland Oregon and Oregon to China, at FOB US$180/ton. Base metals slide on Monday – Base metals on the LME were all down on Monday, as the US unemployment rate climbed to 14-year high of 6.5 percent, except for tin price.
