Rebar price to move up in EU –
As scrap prices rose recently, rebar prices in EU market started moving up.
Italian rebar prices were between US$630 and 644/ton during the past few weeks, and prices fell to US$602-616/ton. It is predicted to rebound in January, 2009.

Japan’s scrap prices tend to slip
The latest market situation shows that scrap prices in Japan’s Kanto and Kansai tend to slide further.
