Gold prices eased in European trade Thursday as dollar recovered from early losses amid a rally in equities.
Bullion for immediate delivery was at $888.97 during late morning trade while June was at $889.30 in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange’s Comex division.

U.S. scrap export prices up slightly in April - U.S. scrap export market has increased slightly in April compared to that in March.
Current scrap export price hit C&F US$250/ton, but Turkey’s latest purchasing price was C&F US$240~245/ton.
Meanwhile, H1 and H2 (80:20) mixed scrap prices reached C&F US$265/ton(Vietnam), C&F US$245/ton(Korea) and C&F US$240/ton (Taiwan).

Japanese H2 scrap average prices up.
During the third week of April, the average price of H2 scrap in Japanese Kanto region, middle part and Kansai region was ¥19,477/ton, up by ¥1,411/ton from previous week.
