United States Scrap Prices Up Late April 2009

U.S. scrap export prices up slightly in April - U.S. scrap export market has increased slightly in April compared to that in March.

Current scrap export price hit C&F US$250/ton, but Turkey’s latest purchasing price was C&F US$240~245/ton.

Meanwhile, H1 and H2 (80:20) mixed scrap prices reached C&F US$265/ton(Vietnam), C&F US$245/ton(Korea) and C&F US$240/ton (Taiwan).

With Japan and China’s holidays coming, the price is expected to remain stable.
