Dongkuk Steel settles scrap price with Japan

Korean Dongkuk Steel purchased H2 scrap from Japan at C&F ¥27,200/ton, a bit higher than previous ones. Currently, H2 scrap base price was ¥25,000 to 25,500/ton. On the other hand, American scrap prices are expected to rise again in July on increased demand and tight supply.

Russian scrap exports dive by 81.8% in first three months

Russian scrap exports down by 81.8 percent to 292,000 tons from January to March. Among them, export was 85,000 tons in January, 91000 tons was in February, and 116,000 in March. During the first three months, export to Spain totaled 91,000 tons, down by 57.3 percent than the same time of last year; 66,000 tons went to Korea; 31,000 tons went to China, up by 69.1 percent; 28,000 tons went to Germany, up by 30.7 percent from the same time of last year.
