America’s scrap export prices to China on rise – America has increased the shredded scrap price to China, as the settle price of the second week of June was US$300/ton and US$295/ton for H1 scrap.  Besides, China purchased the bonus level scarp at US$310~313/ton. It’s said that Japanese offer for P&S scarp has even reached US$315/ton to China.  China hasn’t started to purchase the deep sea scarp for the time being.

Tokyo Steel raises scarp purchasing price again – Japanese Tokyo Steel has decided to increase scrap purchasing price again by ¥1,000/ton on June 19. The price hike totaled ¥3,000/ton in this month. The new purchasing price of scrap is around ¥24,500~25,500/ton, and the export price to Taiwan is around C&F US$295~300/ton.  Currently China’s mills are willing to import the scrap at high price; the price is around C&F US$315/ton from Japan.

Japanese H2 scrap average prices up – During the third week of June, Japanese H2 scrap average price in the Kanto region, middle part and Kansai region was at ¥21,804/ton, up by ¥966/ton than previous week. Among them, H2 scrap price in the Kanto region was ¥22,833/ton, up by ¥333 than previous week, that in middle part was ¥20680/ton, up by ¥900/ton; and the price was ¥21,900/ton in the Kansai region, increasing by ¥1,667/ton.
