US scrap exports in August slide
According to the statistics, US exported 609,833 tons of H1 scrap in August, and total H1 scrap exports during Jan- Aug were about 4.04 million tons, which slid by 6.4 percent compared with the same period of 2008.

LME base metal prices fell on Tuesday, except for tin price as reported by www.yieh.com
Cooper price dropped by US$30/ton to US$6,580/ton. Aluminum price decreased by US$13/ton to US$1,985/ton. Nickel price was unchanged at the level of US$18,650/ton.
