U.S. Steel Prices Down by 1.6% in December

In the last month of 2009, hot rolled steel sheet’s average prices reached US$500/ton, while cold rolled steel sheet’s price fell to US$598/ton.
According to data from the America Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), there are 51 percent of steel production capacity is in operation in 2009.
