According to www.yieh.com – The U.S. stainless steel mill AK Steel slashed their alloy charge of July in line with its competitor, ATI.
The alloy charge for grade 304, 316 and 430 dropped by 15 percent, 14 percent and 6 percent separately to US$1.08/lb, US$1.58/lb and US$0.31/lb respectively.
The transaction price for 304 products is US$1.9~2.01/lb in June, and 316 is US$2.91~3.06/lb, and 430 is US$0.88~0.91/lb respectively.
The new alloy charge is according to the production cost in May.
