LME Nickel Price Reaches $22,000/ton August 9 2010
on August 9th, 2010 at 3:30 pmBecause of the soaring nickel price, Taiwan’s stainless steel mills including Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco) and Tang Eng have announced to lift the stainless steel price for August.
Last Friday, the nickel price on the LME reached US$22,000/ton, stimulating the buyers to book the orders soon.
It is estimated that with the support of high nickel price, the stainless steel market would perform better this week.
Since the nickel price in LME remained at over US$21,000/ton, the stainless steel price will definitely go up further in the second quarter of August.
