Robust Demand to Drive Steel Price Up in Thai Market September 2 2010

The consumption of steel is expected to boost by 10 percent to 12 million tons by 2010 in Thailand, mainly focusing on the auto industry, according to Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand (ISIT).
With expected demand recovery in the second half of 2010 in the whole world, steel price is going to surge by 5~10 percent.
It is expected that HRC price would go up from US$600/ton to US$700/ton in Thai market.
