Scrap Metal and Ship Recycling Update – Metal Prices Down

Scrap Metal News:

Yieh reports that US’s H1 steel scrap prices fell to US$144.83/long ton end of November 9, down by US$7.67/long ton compared to the previous week, for three consecutive weeks low.

In other news – According to France the steel Association (FFA) published the latest data showed in November this year, France’s scrap prices stop falling, compared to prices fluctuation between US$4.2/ton and US$5.3/ton in October.

In November, France’s scrap prices decreased substantially by € 86/ton or about US$91/ton).

Ship Demolition Scrap Prices Update

Lion Shipbrokers reports that subcontinent rates have slumped to levels below the $300 per lt mark for bulkers and the prospects are that prices will decrease further.
