			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On September 29, the average price of H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Philadelphia was US$290.83/long ton, down by US$6.67/long ton from last week. The price of No.2 bundle scrap was at US$224.5/long ton, as the same as last week.</p>
<p>Among them, the average price of H1 scrap in Pittsburgh was US$299.5/long ton and in Chicago was US$299.5/long ton, both unchange from last week. And the average price of H1 scrap in Philadelphia was 256.17/long ton, decreased by US$20/long ton than the previous week.</p>
<p>In east coast, the average price of H1 scrap in New York, Boston, and Huston was US$256.17/long ton. In terms of west coast, the average price of H1 scrap was US$101/long ton. The prices in these two areas were remained unchanged as those of last week.</p>

<p>Among them, H2 scrap price was ￥63,083/ton in the Kanto region, down by ￥4,334/ton than last week; H2 scrap price was ￥62,540/ton in the middle part, down by ￥2,300/ton; ￥66,400/ton in the Kansai region, down by ￥2,333/ton.</p>
<p>At the same time, Japanese H2 scrap average price was ￥64,032/ton, dropped by ￥3,525/ton than previous week.</p>

US H1 scrap exports totaled 2.178 million tons from January to May, up by 68.3 percent than the same time of last year.</p>
<p>Among them, Turkey was the main export destination, at 806,000 tons with an increase of 24.8 percent compared to the same time of last year. Shipments to South Korea reached 416,000 tons, a 2.4 times higher.</p>
<p>Moreover, Taiwan increased its imports of American H1 scrap by 2.2 times, at 209,000 tons.</p>

The price of global scrap market keeps hectic. For American market, the price of No.1 heavy scrap was about US$523.3/long ton on July 11, up by US$16.7/long ton from two weeks ago. Conversely, the scrap price in Europe faced the descending trend last week due to low demand.</p>
<p>According to the distribution of area in America, the highest price of No.1 heavy scrap was US$/530/long ton in Pittsburgh on July 11, increasing by US$30/long ton from last two weeks. On the other hand, the highest price of shredded scrap was about US$605/long ton in Chicago, surging by US$65/long ton from two weeks ago.</p>
<p>In terms of European market, the scrap price could be slumped by €20/ton on average on July. Especially in UK market, so far the scrap price has fallen by €56/ton</p>
<p>The main reason of price decreasing on scrap is owing to low demand from steel mills in Europe. Besides summer vacation, the demand for scrap from Turkish steel mills also represents down trend, reducing the scrap export from Europe.</p>
