Some steel makers in India, such as Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), JSW Steel have raised their prices of long and flat steel products since Indian Federation intended to increase the excise tax from 8% percent to 10 percent.

According to www.yeh.com , National Aluminium Co (Nalco) and Hindalco Industries said on 3rd March, they raised their prices of aluminum from 1st March.
Nalco increased its aluminum price by 1,500-2,000 rupees per ton while Hindalco Industries increased its aluminum price by 1,000-1,500 rupees per ton.
